“If you’re like us, then you love birds and want to help them - and this is your chance to do something that really counts.
The RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch has been counting garden birds for over 30 years, and it’s never been more important than it is today - because some birds are disappearing in scary numbers.
We’ve lost two thirds of our house sparrows, and three-quarters of our starlings - if you’ve never seen their spectacular flying displays, then you may never get the chance if things carry on like this. Surveys help us spot these problems, and it’s the first step in putting them right.
Big Garden Birdwatch is fun, free, really easy, and only takes an hour. You can do your birdwatch wherever you like - at home, in your local park, or do it as part of a group at one of our events near you. You can also chat about the world’s biggest bird survey in our friendly community group.
So sit down, relax and step up for nature!”
